Co-director Pete Mills says: “Crysp is property compliance, simplified. Keeping buildings operational and safe is a significant task, so we developed a solution that enables property managers to move from mislaid documents and outdated manual systems, to a digital platform enabling all safety requirements and records to be centrally managed.
“We are the leading software as a service (SaaS) provider for organisations wanting to manage their health and safety compliance online. The Crysp portal provides a simple to use digital platform which aids the monitoring of compliance, document management, and the building of online forms.”
Crysp can serve single site premises, though their clients are often multi-site organisations, which would otherwise struggle to plan and manage the demanding maintenance and safety compliance requirements associated with a large operation.
Leeds-based Ascensor was appointed by Crysp in 2021 to evolve their software service. Their work has helped Crysp customise the solution in partnership with key clients who require unique modules, including Yorkshire’s Trinity Multi Academy Trust. The software development has enabled the onboarding of over 1,000 client users onto the portal.
Pete Mills says: “Property managers tell us that Crysp saves them time and reduces their risk of non-compliance. Budgets for schools and universities are under increasing pressure. The current environment amplifies the value that Crysp’s compliance software can offer. It means that our educational clients can focus on core compliance issues, and manage reactive maintenance and planned preventative maintenance.
“Our development work with Ascensor has continued to flourish. They have helped to refine our software and improve the online experience for all users. Also, they have worked on a collaborative basis with us and our key clients to customise key elements of our portal for our larger users with bespoke needs.”
Andrew Firth, MD of Ascensor explains: “We are delighted to be supporting Crysp with their SaaS development. We have advanced their innovative software by creating a single sign-on solution, integrated with Microsoft 365, to provide users with a seamless login process. Alongside this we have developed the ability for new customers to sign up via the payment platform Stripe and introduced a 14-day full-access trial process.
“Currently, our work with Crysp includes exciting improvements to the policy management area of the application, for more efficient management processes, and an improved customer experience.”
Andrew adds: “As a digital agency, our role is to help our clients develop and deliver engaging and productive online experiences. We’re delighted with the success of our work in converting customer interest to full-standing paying clients. Our collaboration and customisation has helped Crysp to meet the specific needs of their key customers.”
Pete Mills comments: “Our involvement with Ascensor in the last 18 months has helped Crysp enjoy significant growth, by helping us keep a laser focus on development that enhances the customer experience, bringing fresh and creative ideas and solutions to our business. I am really excited about where we will head together in 2023 with the developments in the pipeline.”
Crysp was founded in 2019 by Stuart Harlow and Pete Mills, and has continued to thrive with national and international clients on their books. In 2021 the team received a strategic investment from Sheffield-based business accelerator TwinklHive.
In addition to large property portfolio clients, Crysp has customers across many sectors including commercial office space, retail and beauty as well as GP and dental practices.
