Child of SP’s electrifying new single has shot up to no. 1 on Luxembourg’s digital streams. As of 20/09/24, just under a month since its release on 29/08/24, the boundary pushing Jersey Club track has overtaken massive established artist including Lady Gaga, Sabrina Carpenter, and Linkin Park with their highly anticipated reunion.
The dance-floor filling track is the thinking-man’s dance anthem, complete with up-tempo beats layered on top of a deconstruction of its titular ‘Halo’. Paired with a powerful 3D music video, the single dives into the symbolism of the halo, examining how people present themselves in society. The halo, often seen as a symbol of purity and virtue, represents the façade many wear—only to drop it when the spotlight dims.

“Scotland was and has been an amazing surprise. I’m not gonna lie I was very insecure at times about coming back and just dropping somethin’ a year and a half after my last track. I didn’t think anybody would care. But I believe music finds it’s listeners and to have a place like Scotland behind me, all the DMs i got while I was there, all the love…that healed me from times i felt unloved and cast out in Lisbon.”
