Alzheimer’s Disease is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder that affects millions of people worldwide. It is the most common form of dementia and gradually impairs memory, cognitive functions, and behavior. Although there is currently no cure for Alzheimer’s, early detection can help individuals and their families better manage the disease and plan for the future. Here are some of the early warning signs of Alzheimer’s to look out for:

1. Memory Loss: One of the most common early signs of Alzheimer’s is memory loss that disrupts daily life. This can include forgetting recently learned information, important dates or events, and constantly repeating the same questions. While it is normal to forget things occasionally, memory loss in Alzheimer’s tends to be more severe and persistent.

2. Challenges in Planning or Problem-Solving: People in the early stages of Alzheimer’s may have difficulty following a familiar recipe or keeping track of monthly bills. They may also find it hard to concentrate on tasks, make decisions, or develop and follow a plan. These challenges can impact daily life and hinder the person’s ability to complete routine activities.

3. Difficulty Performing Familiar Tasks: Another early warning sign of Alzheimer’s is trouble completing familiar tasks that were once easy to do. This can include forgetting how to drive to a familiar location, remembering the rules of a favorite game, or managing household chores. Individuals with Alzheimer’s may also have trouble with routine tasks that involve numbers, such as balancing a checkbook or paying bills.
